Open & Create Outbound Shipments
There are two steps to creating an outbound shipment: opening the shipment and arranging transport. These steps are detailed below:
Opening an Outbound Shipment
When creating an outbound shipment, the first step is to create a shipment with an "Open" status. This can be done in a few different ways:
1. Convert an existing Inbound Shipment
Once you are ready to send an Inbound shipment out of the warehouse, you can convert it to an outbound shipment. Here are the steps to convert a shipment:
- Open the shipment you want to convert and select the "Convert to Outbound Shipment" button in the top right corner.
- Name the shipment and add notes if you want. Then select "Create Shipment".
2. Create a New Shipment
If you want to create a new outbound shipment that is not associated with an Inbound shipment, follow these steps:
- Open the Outbound Shipments page and select "New Shipment".
- Name your new shipment and select "Create Shipment".
- From here you can add items to your shipment.
3. Duplicate an existing Outbound Shipment
To duplicate an outbound shipment follow these steps:
- Open the outbound shipment you want to duplicate.
- Select "Options" and choose "Duplicate Shipment".
Arrange Transport
Once an outbound shipment has been created, you can arrange transport to send it to its destination. To do this:
- Open the outbound shipment you would like to ship. At this stage the shipment should have an "Open" status.
- Select the Arrange Transport button in the top right corner.
- Choose your destination type (e.g., Amazon FBA V2024).
For Amazon FBA shipments, see Arrange Transport for Amazon Shipment for the complete 7-step FBA 2024 workflow guide.
