Open & Create Amazon Shipments

There are two steps to registering a shipment with Amazon. These steps are detailed below:

Opening an Amazon Shipment

When registering a shipment with Amazon the first step is to create an Amazon shipment with an “Open” status. This can be done in a few different ways:

1. Convert an existing Inbound Shipment

Once you are ready to send an Inbound shipment to an Amazon warehouse you can simply convert it to an Amazon shipment. Here are the steps to convert a shipment:

  1. Open the shipment you want to convert and select the “Convert to Amazon Shipment” button in the top right corner.

  1. Name the shipment and add notes if you want. Then select “Create Shipment”.

2. Create an New Shipment

If you want to create a new Amazon shipment that is not associated with an Inbound shipment, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Amazon Shipments page and select “New Shipment”.

  1. Name your new shipment and select “Create Shipment”.

  1. From here you can add items to your shipment.

3. Duplicate an existing Amazon Shipment

To duplicate an Amazon shipment follow these steps:

  1. Open the Amazon shipment you want to duplicate.
  2. Select “Options” and choose “Duplicate Shipment”.

Send a Shipment to Amazon

Once an Amazon shipment has been created it must be registered with Amazon. To do this follow these steps:

  1. Open the Amazon shipment you would like to register. At this state the shipment should have an “Open” status.
  2. Select the “Send Shipment to Amazon” button in the top right corner.

  1. If you have added an alternative address for an additional warehouse you will have to specify which warehouse you are sending the shipment from by Selecting its Address.

You will be brought to the Plan Amazon Shipments page. If you your shipment contains a large quantity or variety of items it may have been split into multiple shipments. If that is the case you will need to perform the following steps for each split shipment.

  1. Select the “Create SC Shipment” button corresponding with your shipment or one the one of the split shipments. If you change your mind at this point about progressing the shipment you can also select the “Cancel” button beside any shipment to go back.

  1. A pop-up window will appear. Select “Create Shipment”. This will register your shipment with Amazon and change it’s status to “Created”.

Imported Shipments

It is important to note that Imported shipments are already registered with Amazon and therefore will already have a “Created” status.
