Managing Listing Details

Listings are products synced from your sales channels (like Amazon). You can view listing details including identifiers, images, conditions, and linked items.

To view the details of a listing:

  1. Open the Channels page from the sidebar.
  2. Click View Listings on the channel you want to manage.
  3. Find the listing in the list and click the arrow (>) on the right side of the row.

This opens the listing details page. For an Amazon listing, the page has Amazon, Condition, Linked Items, and Issues tabs.

Identifiers on Amazon Listings

The identifiers on an Amazon listing come from Amazon's catalog. The Amazon tab shows them in the Amazon Catalog Details card: the FNSKU, the ASIN, and any other identifiers Amazon's catalog holds for the product (such as UPC or EAN), along with the catalog title, image, and dimensions. If Amazon has not assigned an FNSKU yet, the card shows Not assigned.

The Identifiers tab is not shown for Amazon listings. Identifiers on Amazon listings cannot be edited or deleted in PrepBusiness; they always match Amazon's catalog, and PrepBusiness updates them automatically when Amazon's catalog changes. The date at the bottom of the card (Catalog data as of) shows when the catalog data was last refreshed.

Updating a Changed FNSKU

Amazon occasionally changes the FNSKU for an existing listing. Each listing holds a single FNSKU, and PrepBusiness replaces it automatically when Amazon reports a new one. Listings are checked for a new FNSKU every 30 days, so a changed FNSKU appears within that refresh without you doing anything. If you need it sooner, refresh it manually (see below).

Refreshing the FNSKU from Amazon

To check Amazon for the current FNSKU sooner than the next scheduled refresh:

  1. Select Inventory > Products in the left sidebar. If you are prep center staff, select the merchant first.
  2. Select the checkbox next to each item whose FNSKU you want to refresh.
  3. Click Bulk Actions and select Sync Fnskus.

This checks Amazon for the current FNSKU of the Amazon listings with the same SKU as the selected items, and replaces the listing's FNSKU if Amazon reports a new one.
